MEMORABILIA FRAMES
After a successful tour in Afghanistan, Military Working Dog ‘Lego’ is now immortalised in the frame. It features many badges representing the different regiments that were on the particular tour; as well as those of his handler, his embroidered name badge and a miniature Operational Service Medal with the Afghanistan clasp and the NATO Non Article 5 medal with Afghanistan clasp.
An interesting family memorabilia frame recently completed, the lady in the photo was the first American to be awarded the Legion d’Honour for turning her French mansion into a hospital for wounded troops during WW1, the gentleman in the centre was a GP and served during WW1 and was awarded by the French government the Croix de Guerre along side his British medals. The Navy Captain was before WW2 a fisherman and ended up having a distinguished Royal Navy career as shown in his impressive medal brooch.

This frame contains as a central feature a British War Graves Commission Certificate of Burial Plot, a sepia photograph, Corporal Rank Badge, Regimental Crest and WW1 medals. The 1914 Star Medal, War Medal and Victory Medal, which have been swung mounted.

The holder of the memorabilia in this frame served in two British Police Forces, The Metropolitan Police & Cleveland Police (right). The items are all set in deep rebate box windows and contain Helmet Plates, Cap Badges and shoulder numbers a Whistle and expired ID Card and a record of service and name plate; on printed card. The medals are the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal and Police Service Long Service and Good Conduct Medal with a ribbon bar above.
Three generations of medals are contained in this frame along with Royal Air Force Pilots Wings & Officers Cap Badge. The medals are all court mounted and can all be removed for wearing. The empty window at the foot of the page should have held an OBE. Unfortunately the gentleman I built this frame for passed away before he could find the medal for inclusion.
Included in this frame are RAF Senior Aircraftsman badge, Royal Air Force beret badge, Afghanistan OSM and NATO Non Article 5 Medal. The crests at the foot of the page, depict the units the holder served at.
All badges in this frame were given to the holder by colegues from different military organisations who served at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan

The frame contents are made up from the Wing Crest for No 85 Expeditionary Logistics Wing; centred, the crests around it are of the 8 Squadrons (No1 Expeditionary Logistics Squadron, No2 Mechanical Transport Squadron, No3 Mobile Catering Squadron, Joint Aircraft Recovery & Transport Squadron, Mountain Rescue, 501 (RAFA) Squadron, 504 (RAFA) Squadron and 605 (RAFA) Squadron) that fall under the command of the Wing. Each picture has been printed on silk finish photo paper in high definition.

The above frame in a Walnut effect moulding, features a folded full size Union Flag. It was built to commemorate a young airman who sadly lost his fight to cancer in 2016.
This frame was built to celebrate the retirement of the memorabilia holder from the British Army. He had served under two cap badges during his long carer, firstly the Green Howard's and retired under the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. The medals are removable via a box mounted into the rear of the frame.

The two frames above were built for the same customer; both with Royal Navy themes. They both have pictures of one of the ships that the people served on as well as the crests of the others. The medals inside are all miniatures and both have a brass effect name plate.
The gentleman that this was built for had a varied career in the British Army, serving all over the world. The main feature of this is the full size ceremonial Kukri which was presented to him after a tour with a Gurkha Regiment

This frame was built for the Chatteris Museum to commemorate Private George Clare VC. It features replica medals that he was awarded; posthumously, for his service during WW1. The small brass items are a Regimental Cap badge for the 5th Royal Lancers along with some tunic buttons. Private Clare was awarded the Victoria Cross for courageous actions during a heavy bombardment; unselfishly saving the lives of many of his comrades. Sadly, George was killed by a German artillery shell on
29th November 1917 near Ypres.
